About Us
HF Deutscher Pty. Ltd. is an Australian, family owned and operated business, which has been manufacturing in this country for over 110 years.
Founded in 1904, HF.Deutscher Pty. Ltd. has proudly remained a family-owned and operated enterprise. Since 1923, we have established our roots in Ballarat, Victoria.
Initially, the business focused on producing engines and various equipment for the agricultural sector. In the early 1950s, we expanded our offerings to include rotary scythes (mowers), which later evolved in the mid-1960s into the production of ride-on mowers, a line we maintained until 2008.
Currently, we manufacture a diverse range of commercial-grade self-propelled mowers, garden chippers, and garden chipper shredders.
All our products are designed, tested, and produced at our facility in Ballarat - ensuring the highest quality - and our reputation is built on durable, reliable products, with walk-behind mowers capable of accessing areas that ride-on mowers cannot.
We prioritize using top-quality materials to guarantee that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Our offerings are distributed across Australia through our extensive dealer network, and we also export to several countries, including Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Kenya, New Zealand, and other regions requiring robust mowers for challenging conditions.
