One standout success story is the re-opening of the Junkaral Airstrip in Jiwaka Province. According to RAA, the airstrip had been closed since 2002 before being restored and officially reopened in 2017.
Throughout the restoration project - and in the ongoing maintenance program that followed - Deutscher mowers played a key role in managing the heavy grass growth and maintaining safe operating conditions on and around the runway.
